August 16, 1961 ~ January 10, 2020 (age 58)

Obituary

Tamera (Tammy) Allison, 58, of Belleview, Florida, passed away on January 10th, 2020.

Funeral Services will be held on January 18th, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Rainbow Springs State Park.  Memorial services will be held later this spring at Bergen Lutheran Church, rural Granite Falls, MN.

Tamera Ann Larson was born on August 16th, 1961. After much prayer, Gilmore and Marilyn Larson received this beautiful baby girl at 4 weeks old from Lutheran Social Services in Minneapolis, MN. Because of the closeness in age with all her siblings, the Larson siblings were inseparable. They lived on a farm so many years were spent helping on said farm; whether it was walking the bean fields, playing outside, helping mom in the garden, or taking care of the animals. She was a caregiver early on, always taking care of her cats and even babysitting the neighborhood children.

Tammy attended school in Clarkfield, Minnesota, graduating in 1979. She was an extremely friendly and vivacious person, and a pom-pom girl in high school. In addition, she took piano lessons and was deeply involved with the Bergen Church. It was here that she was baptized by Pastor E. T. Fyrand and confirmed by Pastor Digerness in 1976. She loved being with family and was always thinking of them. She truly cared about each and every one.

Tammy worked at the Clarkfield Care Center in Minnesota for many years, continuing her role as a caregiver to the residents who all adored her. She continued to form many close relationships with her colleagues wherever she worked and even enjoyed the occasional fishing trip with them. These strong relationships carried on from Minnesota all the way to Ocala, Florida, where she moved to in the Spring of 1994. It was here that she met her husband, Thomas Allison, in 1997, and where they wed on February 14th, 2003. It was also here in Ocala, Florida that she started working as a CNA in the Cardiovascular Unit at Ocala Regional Medical Center, where she continued to put her heart and soul into her passion for helping others for over 25 years. Despite any hardships in life, she always met every day with a smile. She always loved to cook and play a game of Buck. She was abundantly resilient and strong no matter what she was faced with in life. She would always say, "It's okay to step back and cry for yourself sometimes -- but no matter what -- you get up, dust your boots off, and keep fighting." This was Tammy. She was stronger than most and she always inspired everyone who knew her to keep going. She showed this beautiful strength to every single person she met in her life.

Tammy was a deeply caring and compassionate person to all. She was a selfless person who accepted all, no matter their circumstances. She was truly a gift to her family and all who knew
her.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Zeps, and her grandparents, Peder and Mabel Larson, as well as Mentor and Lilian Boraas.

Her legacy lives on through her greatly abundant family. Her husband, Thomas; children: Michael (Kara) Winters, Corey (Nicole) Winters, and Matthew (Kristin) Winters; grandchildren: William, Lili, Rainn, Alazae, Peyton, Wyatt and Gage; great-grandchild, Leia; her parents, Gilmore and Marilyn Larson; and her brother and sisters; Tim (Jody) Larson, Judy (Karl) Bergeland, and Kathy (Steve) Koetter.

Psalm 127:3 Children are a Gift from God. They are His reward.

John 11:25 Jesus said to Her - I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will live, even though she dies.
