Betty Henriksen, of Montevideo, died Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield at the age of 78.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Betty Lou (Anderson) Henriksen was born February 16, 1939 in Montevideo, MN to Glen and Louella (Schuerer) Anderson. She attended school in the Montevideo area and graduated from Montevideo High School.
Betty was united in marriage to Duane Kittelson in 1955. To this union, 4 children were born; Galen, Debra, Larry and Ron. On February 17, 1980, Betty married Burnell Henriksen in Watson, MN. Betty lived many places including Montevideo, Boyd, and Minneapolis.
She loved to dance, enjoyed cooking, and playing with her dogs. She also loved to watch stock-car racing, especially when her son, Galen was racing. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Betty and her siblings were very good at arguing with each other and would do so every chance they could. Strawberry shakes and blizzards were her favorite treat.
Betty is survived by her children: Galen Kittelson (Janice Peters) of Montevideo, Deb (Chuck) Rich of Dawson, Larry Kittelson (Tamie Henriksen) of Montevideo, Ron (Lorie) Kittelson of Montevideo; step-children: Kevin Henriksen of Amana, IA, Kurtis Henriksen of Mitchell, SD, and Kristina Kraft of Nauvoo, IL; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert “Bob” Anderson of Montevideo; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Burnell in 2000; brother, Wayne Anderson; and sister, Glynice Saue.
